I recently had a friend show me this new exciting service. The Game Crafter is the Lulu.com of board games. What we have here is a print-on-demand service that allows anyone with a great board game idea to publish high quality copies of their games in small numbers, even singles.
How the service works, is you upload a series of files that fit in pre-defined dimensions for such things as:
Game boards
Cards
Counters
Instructions
Box Art
Etc...
Each of the major components of a board game are offered in various sizes, and you can then add in such things as tokens, chips, dice and more.
Finally, you can set your price, and start to direct customers to their online store, and start making profits off your latest creation. The creations wizards are straight forward, and it looks like a snap to get a game up and running in the system.
~All in all, Game Crafter looks like a really, really cool tool for the dedicated board game designers out there.
